The Wyoming Council of Trout Unlimited (WYTU) will be gathering on November 1, 2 & 3, 2019 for their annual fall council meeting in beautiful Pinedale, Wyoming. According to Council Coordinator Mike Jensen, the three-day event will kick-off with Friday fishing for those attendees interested in getting out and fishing the many waters available in the Pinedale area.
As a reminder to those planning on going, the Hampton Inn & Suites has offered a special discounted rate for the council meeting and the deadline to book your rooms will be Friday, October 18th. To book your room, call the Hampton Inn & Suites at 307.367.6700. Choose option “0” when prompted to speak to the front desk. Let them know that you are booking a room in the Wyoming Trout Unlimited room block in November. Give them the group code: CHXWTU. Select your available room type and provide your credit card guarantee and receive your confirmation number. Again, deadline to receive the discounted room rate is Friday, October 18, 2019.
Friday night, the attendees will gather at the Wind River Brewing Company, located at 402 West Pine Street, around 5 to 5:30 p.m., for an informal dinner.
Saturday will feature the council meeting that will be held in the Lovatt Room in the Sublette County Library. The library is located at 155 South Tyler Street in Pinedale. Lunch will be served at the library and the meeting should wrap up around 5 p.m. or sooner. A full slate of discussions are planned including elections for the Wyoming Council of Trout Unlimited. If you are interested in running for a board position, please contact Mike Jensen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Saturday night’s dinner will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites at 7 p.m. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the hotel. A cash bar will be available and the council will pick up the cost of dinner for those in attendance. Bring your cash and check book as there will be a terrific raffle drawing featuring some great items that will be given away.
On Sunday, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the Wyoming Game & Fish Department’s Daniel Fish Hatchery located west of Pinedale. The hatchery celebrated their 100th Anniversary last year. The tour will last about 90 minutes or so.
